Ma’am Ruth Rana Padilla, Chairperson of the Region 2 Cagayan Valley Tourism Council, and Ma’am Marichelle Costales, Acting Provincial Tourism and Culture Officer, revealed plans for this month’s Tourism Month celebration in the TARIPNONG press conference, hosted by PAIAD today, September 4, 2024.
Cultural projects of interest were reiterated, such as the Indigenous Peoples Cultural Workshop to be enacted again in nine select classrooms within Kayapa, Santa Fe, Villaverde, Kasibu, and Diadi. The state of the Ambaguio Skyport was also discussed as being in its final stages of preparation for the public. For the Tourism month celebrations, the planned Regional Trade Fair was cited as a particular event of interest, which may include a planned Fashion Show meant to showcase the rich indigenous cultures within Nueva Vizcaya through their unique weaving. Visual media-based contests such as a Regional Film Festival and a Cagayan Valley Tourism Music Video Contest may also be included in the festivities.
