The Region 02 Office of the Department of Health (DOH-R02) had collaborated with the Provincial Integrated Health Office (PIHO) headed by Dr. Edwin B. Galapon for the conduct of a training on Integrated Clinic Information System (iClinicSys) for the health care system of the Province of Nueva Vizcaya.

Ms. Juliet P. Covita, OIC-DMO IV from the DOH-R02 Office, who coordinated this activity held on March 29 to 31, 2022 at the Highlander Hotel and Resort in Solano, Nueva Vizcaya, said that the target participants consist of Nurses and Information Technology staff of each of the fifteen Rural Health Units (RHUs) across the province who will be tasked to manage and operate the said system.

“This iClinicSys training is just one among the six building blocks of preparatory activities for raising the maturity level of the local health system as mandated under the Universal Health Care (UHC) Law”, explained Mr. Bryan Voltaire S. Lannu, RN, MAN, UHC-Nurse from the Provincial DOH Office.

Mr. Christopher Lloyd E. Manalo, Computer Programmer 1, also from the DOH-RO2 Office, who served as lead trainer-facilitator during the three-day capability building activity, explained that “The iClinicSys is a homegrown online Electronic Medical Record and Health Information System of the DOH that supports the function of the government’s primary health care facilities, including Rural Health Units (RHUs), Health Centers (HCs), and Barangay Health Stations (BHSs).”

“It aims to automate service delivery processes to efficiently and effectively monitor patient care in the said health facilities”, he added.
