The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Nueva Vizcaya has passed three separate resolutions commending and recognizing three distinguished Vizcayanos for their exemplary achievements in their respective fields.
In Resolution No. 2025-5585, the SP commended and recognized Cadet 1st Class Elzur De Guzman Salon, a native of Barangay Sta. Maria, Dupax del Sur, for securing the 8th rank in the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) “Siklab-Laya” Class of 2025. He is set to receive the Air Force Professional Course Plaque and will be commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Philippine Air Force.
Another resolution congratulated Mela Vonn Silka Afalla Tominez, DMD, of Barangay Murong, Bagabag, for placing third in the May 2025 Dentist Licensure Examination. The SP gave due recognition to her academic excellence and professional success through Resolution No. 2025-5607, bringing pride and honor to the province.
Moreover, the SP also passed a resolution commending Col. Bernard T. Ragus FS (GSC), Philippine Army, for his leadership and services as Director of the 203rd Community Defense Center. Col. Ragus has contributed to the development of the reserve force in Nueva Vizcaya, improving its organization, facilities, and mobility, and introducing best practices that elevated the status of the unit, making it a model Reserve Battalion in Region 02.
The Provincial Board lauded the honorees for their dedication, excellence, and contributions that continue to inspire fellow Vizcayanos and uplift the province’s reputation. /gpp
