
BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya – The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Nueva Vizcaya was officially recognized for its exemplary legislative performance, receiving the plaque of recognition during the flag-raising ceremony on March 24, 2025.
The award which highlights the SP’s significant contributions to strengthening local governance mechanisms was presented following its recognition as an outstanding legislative body. The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) conferred the distinction on March 18, 2025, during the Philippine Board Members League of the Philippines (PBMLP) National Convention held at Century Park Hote, Malate, Manila.
Leading the awarding ceremony were PBMLP National President Ramon Vicente H. Bautista and DILG Secretary Juanito Victorio Remulla, who commended Nueva Vizcaya’s legislative body for its commitment to enacting policies that drives provincial development and governance excellence. The recognition supports the province’s achievement of the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) 2024, adhering to transparency, accountability, and service efficiency.The SGLG is the highest distinction given by the DILG to local government units and their legislative councils for exemplary performance in governance, fiscal management, social protection, and disaster resilience. This achievement of the province’s SP reinforces its role as a model for legislative excellence, contributing to the province’s progress and development.Gov. Jose V. Gambito along with the members of the provincial board headed by the Presiding Officer , Vice Governor Eufemia Ang Dacayo, accepted the recognition manifesting gratitude and inspiration to further enhance policy-making efforts that will benefit the people of Nueva Vizcaya.
