Mandates

- Encourage employers to submit to the PESD on a regular basis a list of vacancies in their respective establishments in order to facilitate the exchange of labor market information between job seekers and employers by providing employment information services to job seekers, both for local and overseas employment and recruitment assistance to employers

- Organize job fairs and local or special recruitment activities in accordance with DOLE/POEA and in accordance with existing laws, rules and regulations

- Undertake employability enhancement training/seminars for job seekers as well as those who would like to change career

- Provide pre-employment or occupational counselling, career guidance, mass motivation and values development activities to applicants for both local and overseas employment

- Provide reintegration assistance services to returning/displaced Filipino migrant workers

- Coordinate with DOLE fore technical supervision on the operation and maintenance of the PESD and to ensure prompt, timely and efficient provision of information on other DOLE Programs

- Perform such other tasks related to its functions and to undertake pertinent assignment and duties as may be assigned by the Governor
