
Governor Atty. Jose V. Gambito awarded a total of Php10.5 million in financial assistance to support development projects in the municipality of Aritao and various barangays across the province. The awarding ceremony was held at the Carlos M. Padilla Convention Center, with Board Member Patricio F. Dumlao Jr. in attendance.
Municipal Councilor Adonis F. Lejao accepted a Php1 million Municipal Development Assistance Fund (MDAF) on behalf of the town of Aritao. These funds are designated for a range of community projects aimed at improving local infrastructure and services.
Several barangays also received substantial funding for their development initiatives. Barangay Murong Bagabag was awarded Php2 million for the construction of business stalls at their barangay plaza. Barangay Mangayang Dupax del Sur received Php1.5 million for the concreting of Bit-ang Creek in Purok Liwliwa.
Additional allocations include Php1 million for Barangay Sta. Maria Dupax del Sur to continue road concreting at Sitio De Victoria, and Php1 million for Barangay Calitlitan Aritao for the concreting of the Purok 2 farm-to-market road. Barangay Ocao Capiñaan Aritao was granted Php1 million for roadside riprapping.
Furthermore, Barangay Malasin Dupax del Norte received Php1 million for the construction of slope protection at Dupax del Norte National High School. Barangay San Leonardo Bambang was awarded Php1 million for the construction of a multi-purpose covered court at San Leonardo Elementary School. Lastly, Barangay Bantinan Sta. Fe was allocated Php1 million for the opening of a farm-to-market road and concreting of pavement at Sitio Awa Gusaran.
Governor Gambito emphasized the importance of these projects in enhancing the quality of life for residents and fostering economic growth in the province. “These funds are a clear demonstration of our commitment to building a better future for our communities,” he stated during the ceremony. /RMI
