
The provincial government of Nueva Vizcaya, led by Governor Atty. Jose V. Gambito, received two plaques of recognition for its exemplary contributions to social welfare. These awards were presented by the regional office of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), headed by Regional Director Lucia Suyu Alan, in acknowledgment of the province’s invaluable involvement in delivering essential services to the poor, vulnerable, and disadvantaged members of the community.
The awarding ceremony took place on March 10, 2025, at Hotel Carmelita in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. During this event, the plaque was received on behalf of the provincial government by Provincial Social Welfare and Development (PSWD) Officer Flordelina C. Granada. The plaques were then formally presented to Governor Gambito during today’s flag-raising ceremony.
In addition to the provincial government, the PSWD Office and the Provincial Cooperative Enterprise Development Office were also honored with plaques of appreciation from DSWD for their active participation in implementing programs and services aimed at uplifting the lives of those in need.
Governor Gambito expressed his gratitude for the recognition, stating, “This honor reflects our unwavering commitment to serve the most vulnerable among us. Together, we are building a stronger, more compassionate Nueva Vizcaya where every family feels valued and supported.” /RMI
