PLGU Night festival celebrates unity and service

The Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) employees, department heads, and leaders gathered to a night of joy, camaraderie, and colorful attires and performances during the PLGU Night on May 22, 2025, one of the activities of the 16th Grand Ammungan Festival (GAF), highlighting spirit of unity, gratitude, and public service.

Board Member Eunice Galima-Gambol, delivered her festival message, encouraging all provincial employees to “work together and serve the people of Nueva Vizcaya wholeheartedly.” Vice Governor Eufemia Ang Dacayo echoed the same message of unity and thanksgiving, saying, “Magsama-sama tayo upang ipagpasalamat ang yaman ng ating bayan.” She emphasized that such gatherings serve as a reminder of the importance of unity and appreciation for Nueva Vizcaya’s rich resources and shared successes.

A major highlight of the evening was the Dance Contest, where three groups vied for the top prize. The Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Hospital (NVPH) team wowed the judges and the crowd with their lively retro-themed routine, securing the first place. The Provincial Human Resource Management Office (PHRMO) group winning second place, while the combined team from the Provincial General Services Office (PGSO), Provincial Administrator’s (PA Office), and Provincial Environment and Natural Resources (PENARO) garnered the third place.

The excitement continued with raffle draws, dances, live band performances, foods galore, and the glamorous Best Dressed Awards for their standout retro 70s and 80s-inspired fashion.

One of the most anticipated part of the evening was the dance with the Provincial Executive where employees and guests joined Governor Jose “Jing” Gambito on the dance floor. The governor grooved to classic hits, fully embracing the 70s and 80s retro theme that set the mood for the celebration.

The PLGU Night Festival proved to be more than just a night of fun but a reminder of the duties of the men and women working in government service for the people of Nueva Vizcaya. /gpp
