The Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya (PGNV) witnessed a significant boost in team cohesion and morale with a highly successful two-day team building retreat for its Administrative Officers (AOs). Held from April 11-12, 2025 at the picturesque Dinadiawan, Dipaculao in Aurora province, the retreat provided a much-needed opportunity for the AOs to recharge, reconnect, and re-energize their collaborative efforts.
Organized by the Provincial Human Resource Management Officed under the guidance of Ma. Carla Lucia M. Torralba, DDM, in collaboration with the PGNV Administrative Officers Association headed by its president, Gloria R. Ritual, Supervising Administrative Officer of the Provincial Budget Office, the retreat was meticulously planned to achieve a perfect balance between productive work sessions and engaging recreational activities. The serene setting of Dinadiawan, with its breathtaking beauty, served as a backdrop for this crucial team-building initiative.
The retreat was far more than just a break from the usual office routine. It was strategically designed to address several key areas crucial to effective governance. The AOs began with their regularly scheduled monthly meeting, ensuring that administrative tasks and important discussions remained a priority. The meeting provided a platform for essential updates on ongoing projects, allowing for collaborative planning and resolution of any outstanding issues. This integration of work into the retreat highlighted the commitment to efficiency and productivity, even with a relaxed setting.
However, the true highlight lay in the carefully curated team-building activities. These activities were expertly designed to foster crucial soft skills often overlooked in the daily grind of administrative work. Participants engaged in a variety of exercises aimed at improving communication, encouraging cooperation, and sharpening problem-solving skills. The shared meals, informal conversations, and simply enjoying the tranquil atmosphere of Dinadiawan contributed significantly to the overall success of the retreat. The resounding success of the retreat was evident in the overwhelming positive feedback received from the participating AOs. They expressed their sincere gratitude to Governor Atty. Jose V. The AOs unanimously agreed that the retreat would have a lasting positive impact on their performance and contribute significantly to the efficient and effective operation of the PGNV.
