Nueva Vizcaya to host Magna Carta of Women anniversary

Nueva Vizcaya’s Gender and Development Focal Point System convened selected offices from the provincial government for a meeting on July 23, 2024 at the Paniqui Hall, Patricio G. Dumlao Executive Building, Provincial Capitol, to prepare for the upcoming celebration of the 15th Anniversary of the Magna Carta of Women. The province has been chosen as the host for this significant event by the Regional Gender and Development Committee, highlighting Nueva Vizcaya’s commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment.

Scheduled on August 14, 2024 at the Carlos M. Padilla Convention Center at the Provincial Capitol, the anniversary celebration aims to commemorate the milestones achieved in advancing women’s rights and promoting gender equality over the past 15 years. It will also serve as a platform to reaffirm the province’s dedication to upholding the principles and provisions of the Magna Carta of Women.

Mrs. Ruth R. Padilla presided over the meeting, leading discussions on the tasks assigned to various offices to successfully organize the anniversary celebration. The meeting focused on the designation of chairmanship roles to different committees, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts and effective coordination among offices to ensure a seamless event.

As the province prepares to host this celebration, it reaffirms its commitment to promoting gender equality, empowering women, and advocating for the rights and welfare of all individuals.
