
The Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya, led by Governor Atty. Jose “Jing” V. Gambito, spearheaded a thanksgiving mass and ecumenical service at the Carlos M. Padilla Convention Center on May 22, 2025 in celebration of the 16th Grand Ammungan Festival marking the 186th Founding Anniversary of the province. The event was graced by Gov. Gambito and his family, Vice Governor Eufemia A. Dacayo, members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, municipal Local Chief Executives, national and provincial government heads, and employees of the PLGU.
The ecumenical service was officiated by church leaders of various religious sects headed by Bishop Jose Elmer I. Macalinao of the Diocese of Bayombong who encouraged everyone to give back to the Lord God the highest praise and worship. Church leaders offered powerful messages of thanksgiving and unity, reflecting on the province’s progress and blessings. “Tayo ay magalak palagi,” “Manalangin tayo ng walang tigil,” and “Carry each other’s burden,” were among the messages shared. The faithful were reminded to “work together and support each other, because there is always power in unity.”
Rev. Roger M. Angyab of the Shekinah Church expressed deep gratitude for the recognition and accolades Nueva Vizcaya has received, including its declaration as a first-class province. “Everything we have is a reflection of gratitude to our King,” he said.
As the Grand Ammungan Festival officially opened, the ecumenical celebration highlights the spiritual foundation that binds Novo Vizcayanos together, setting a respectful tone for the 3-day festival showcasing the the province’s rich culture, history, unity, faith and gratitude. /gpp
