Acting Provincial Administrator Jovito O. Celestino announced two prestigious awards recently received by the province: the Seal of Local Good Governance and the ARTA Report Card Survey Silver Award. Celestino commended the dedication of provincial employees, noting that these awards reflect Nueva Vizcaya’s adherence to high standards in governance and regulatory processes.
Senior Labor Officer Dolly Rose Minas of the Public Employment Services Division (PESD) shared updates on the division’s accomplishments in employment and livelihood support. Minas detailed PESD’s programs, which include the OFW support initiatives, the Government Internship Program (GIP), job referrals in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES), and the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program. These programs have provided crucial support to thousands of local workers, underlining the province’s commitment to economic stability and workforce development.
Engineer Danilo Z. Dominguez, representing the Provincial Waterworks and Management Services (PWWS), highlighted the agency’s financial success, reporting a collection rate of 88.18% against the projected revenue for 2024. This accomplishment reflects the PWWS’s effectiveness in managing water resources and revenue, essential to the province’s sustainable water infrastructure.
Ms. Elvira G. Tiongson, Provincial Population Program Officer IV, presented the Provincial Population Coordinating Committee’s (PPCC) achievements in population development and gender and development programs. Tiongson emphasized the committee’s work in promoting awareness and implementing programs that address population growth, reproductive health, and gender equality throughout the province.
