As a show of pride and recognition for outstanding achievements, the Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya honored several individuals and offices during the flag-raising ceremony held on January 20, 2025.One of the highlights of the event was the awarding of a Plaque of Commendation to the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Office, led by Director Catherine Allam- Miranda. The recognition was given for the office’s exceptional contribution, which played a significant role in the province being recognized as a first-time recipient of the prestigious Seal of Good Local Governance award. Another notable achiever recognized was Cdt LtC. Jamaica S. Soriano, who was honored as an Outstanding Female ROTC Cadet for her exemplary performance in the ROTC program of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Also, the ceremony saw the dawning of ranks for four newly commissioned officers of the reserved force, representing their official entry into higher responsibilities within the military reserve. The officers honored are Lt. Col. Donald S. Calma, DepEd District Supervisor, Alfonso Castaneda District; Lt. Col. Gabriel C. Ullani, Principal, Kongkong Valley National High School; 1st Lt. Joanne C. Soliven, Secondary Teacher, Paniki High School, Bagabag; and 2nd Lt. Precilla S. Turingan, Teacher, Aldersgate College, Solano.The recognitions were conferred by Governor Jose V. Gambito, along with Vice Governor Eufemia A. Dacayo, and members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.Governor Gambito rendered a formal salute to the achievers, acknowledging their contributions and achievements as a gesture of respect and recognition, particularly to the military achievers.The Monday flag-raising ceremony was jointly hosted by the Provincial Administrator’s Office, headed by Mr. Jovito O. Clestino; Provincial Employment and Services Office under Senior Labor Officer Dolly Rose Minas; Provincial Population Office with Provincial Population Program Officer IV Ms. Elvira G. Tongson and Waterworks Services under Engineer Danilo Z. Dominguez.
