The Provincial Accounting Office (PACCO), led by Provincial Accountant Yunisa D. Patricio, hosted the last flag raising for the month on February 24, 2025, at the Carlos M. Padilla Convention Center, Capitol Compound, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya. While PACCO revealed its consistent and thorough handling of the provincial finances in the opening speeches, the rest of the ceremony also revealed new achievements garnered by the provincial government throughout 2024.
PACCO for its part counted 38, 250 transactions in its records from January 2024-February 2025. They have also submitted financial reports on fund utilization and other such matters to national government agencies for utilization purposes on quarterly, monthly, and yearly bases. Their pre-auditing services also saw the preparation of thousands of vouchers and various certificates not only for the employees of the provincial government, but for its clients. As far as PACCO’s administrative services, they have maintained the salary of the provincial government employees and prepared 12, 564 payrolls on a bimonthly basis.
PACCO also attended and participated in many meetings for the provincial government, as well as trainings and seminars ‘related to their function to enhance their competencies.’ Most recently, they have embraced ‘digital transformation for better service’, as they recently held an orientation on the use of a financial document tracking system and other new provincial government software.
The flag raising also gave way to the announcement of the provincial government’s win at the Subaybayani Awards, a recognition program of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) for infrastructure. Engineers from the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) and officers of the Provincial Tourism and Culture Office (PTCO) received certificates for their responsibility in the construction of the Bayombong-Masoc-Ambaguio road, a project that has seen greater agricultural production and increased tourism for Ambaguio.
Governor Atty. Jose V. Gambito celebrated the great achievements of the province, pointing out that many Novo Vizcayano students and beauty pageant contestants have excelled, as Ms. Wesmin Pacalso of Bambang was also announced to have been named Miss Independent International 2025. “Our province has 16 awards. I am very glad of our achievements. Let’s go to work.”
While the provincial government is committed to consistent and excellent service, the province of Nueva Vizcaya also commits itself to greater and greater heights of quality. /igmb
