Town History
Long before the opening of the irregular municipal district of Kasibu, there was a school and a constabulary detachment for the Ilongots (now officially called Bukalots). There were many semi-wild Ilongots roaming in the region which necessitated the establishment of a kind of government to administer the place.
For this reason, the provincial board during Governor Catańeda’s time requested the Governor-general to authorize the establishment of this place as an irregular municipal district to be supervised and administered by the provincial governor. So, in 1925, the Governor-General issued an Executive Order for the organization of this place to be known as the municipal district of Kasibu.
