Gov. Atty. Jose “Jing” V. Gambito led the distribution of 20 brand-new dump trucks (Sinotruk C3) to various barangays in the province at the People’s Stage, Capitol, Bayombong on November 13, 2024. The trucks were handed over to the beneficiary barangays as part of the Governor’s commitment to improving local infrastructure and providing better disaster-response capabilities.
The 20 dump trucks, which will serve as muti-purpose vehicles, were allocated to 9 municipalities, benefiting barangays across Nueva Vizcaya. The municipalities and their respective barangays receiving the units include: Poblacion and Nagcuartelan of Aritao; Macabenga, and Oyao of Dupax del Norte; Salvacion of Bayombong; Binalian and Nansiakan of Kayapa; Bonifacio, Calaocan, Caliat, Dagupan, Maddiangat, Bulinao, and Maasin of Quezon; Osmeña of Solano; Dulli of Ambaguio; Sto. Domingo Proper and Pallas of Bambang; and Bacneng of Sta. Fe. These new trucks will be instrumental in disaster response, providing the barangays with much-needed transport for relief goods and evacuation efforts during calamities. The multi-purpose trucks are also expected to be used for various local projects, including farm-to-market road development.
The ceremony was attended by local government officials, barangay captains, and the appointed drivers of the new dump trucks. Following the turnover, the drivers and barangay leaders participated in a seminar on the proper care and handling of the vehicles to ensure their longevity and optimal use.
Gov. Gambito emphasized that the distribution of the dump trucks was in line with his administration’s vision to uplift the lives of all Novo Vizcayanos. He also stressed the importance of unity in governance, stating, “Unity is the key to progress,” referring to the collaborative efforts between his administration and that of the former Governor Ruth R. Padilla. Gov. Gambito underscored that the success of the Gambito-Padilla collaboration was evident in the province’s remarkable economic growth. “Nueva Vizcaya has ranked #2 as the fastest- growing economy in the country, second to Aklan. This shows that a united administration will bring fruitful results and progress for the entire province,” Gov. Gambito remarked.
The distribution of the dump trucks is just one part of Governor Gambito’s broader initiative to improve infrastructure and disaster preparedness across the province. His administration has also been active in expanding farm-to-market roads, which will further facilitate the transportation of goods and enhance economic activities, especially in rural areas.“This initiative proves that Nueva Vizcaya is becoming more livable for all Novo Vizcayanos,” Governor Gambito concluded.
The ceremony and turnover of the trucks underscore the Governor’s commitment to serving his constituents and ensuring that the province continues to move forward with unity, progress, and sustainable development. /jmcb
