The provincial government of Nueva Vizcaya, led by Governor Atty. Jose V. Gambito, distributed a total of PHP 2.8 million in aid to more than 500 beneficiaries of the “Trabaho para ti Umili” (TrPaTu) program. The payout event took place yesterday at the Carlos M. Padilla Convention Center.
According to Public Employment Service Division (PESD) Manager Dolly Rose Minas, the beneficiaries come from the towns of Sta. Fe, Solano, Quezon, and Dupax del Sur. Each beneficiary received an honorarium of PHP 5,000 for their ten days of work under the program. These individuals are part of the 2,000 beneficiaries of TrPaTu from the previous year, 2024.
The TrPaTu program is a localized version of the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) initiative. Joining Governor Gambito in the distribution event were Board Member Patricio Dumlao, Eunice Galima-Gambol, and former Governor Ruth R. Padilla. Also in attendance were Ptr. Leonard Clemens Cadoy and Aritao Municipal Councilor Adonis Lejao.
This event is part of a series of payouts organized by the PESD, which is responsible for implementing the program. The initiative aims to provide temporary employment and financial assistance to residents in need, supporting both community development and individual livelihoods. /RMI
