Gambito, alongside the members of the Sanggunian Panlalawigan, spearheaded the awarding of a P200,000 cash incentive to Hannah Mae R. Guimbongan during the Monday flag-raising ceremony. Hannah, an accomplished scholar from the Sagut Scholarship Program Batch 2 and a resident of Brgy. Baracbac, Sta. Fe, recently achieved top honors in the October 2024 Geodetic Engineer’s Licensure Examination.
This incentive is part of the Topnotchers Incentive Ordinance by the provincial government of Nueva Vizcaya, designed to reward Novo Vizcayanos who attain top rankings in board examinations. Accompanying Ms. Guimbongan in receiving the award was her mother, Emelita Rudio Guimbongan.
During an interview, Ms. Guimbongan expressed her sincere gratitude to the provincial government for the incentive, stating that she plans to use the funds to purchase necessary equipment for her surveying career. Her mother, Emelita, also conveyed her appreciation for the scholarship opportunity provided by the provincial government, highlighting its crucial role in supporting her daughter’s education amidst financial challenges.
Governor Gambito, recognizing Hannah’s exceptional achievement, extended a job offer to her within the provincial government. “We are incredibly proud of Hannah’s accomplishments, and we believe her skills and dedication will be a great asset to our team. We are excited to offer her a position where she can further contribute to the development of our province,” said Gov. Gambito.
Hannah is the second topnotcher to benefit from the P200,000 incentive, following Kharam Molbog from Solano, who was the first to receive the award after topping the Medical Technology Licensure Examination.
