
Governor Atty. Jose V. Gambito called on his fellow elected officials to use teamwork, careful planning, and a focus on public service during the Executive Briefing for Newly Elected Officials(NEO) held on July 8, 2025, at the Ammungan Hall, Capitol Compound.
In his direction-setting remarks, Governor Gambito underscored the importance of strategic, data-driven approaches and unified leadership to effectively respond to governance challenges and advance the province’s development agenda.
The Executive Briefing, held on July 8, 2025, is part of the preparatory engagements under the NEO PLUS Program, spearheaded by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Office. The program aims to equip newly elected officials with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective and responsive governance.
DILG Provincial Director Catherine G. Allam-Miranda, CESE, facilitated the activity, which gathered members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, department heads of the provincial government and other key leaders.Vice Governor Eufemia A. Dacayo in her message , emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration among elected officials. She highlighted how working together can strengthen their efforts in serving the Novo Vizcayanos effectively.
Engr. Edgardo D. Sabado, Provincial Planning and Development Officer, presented a report on the current state of governance in Nueva Vizcaya. He discussed the province’s achievements as well as the problems that still need to be addressed.
The main activity was a workshop where members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan and department heads worked together to identify the most important issues and suggest possible solutions.
The Executive Briefing for Newly Elected Officials is part of the province’s efforts to ensure its leaders are ready to serve and respond to the needs of the people. /RMI
