Bayombong Leaders, Former Political Rivals, Express Support for Provincial Government’s Development Agenda

Demonstrating unity beyond political lines, Bayombong municipal officials led by Mayor Tony G. Bagasao and Board Member-elect Atty. John G. Bagasao met with Governor Atty. Jose V. Gambito on June 25 and expressed their support for the provincial government’s development initiatives. The Bagasao brothers, who belonged to a different political party in the last election, responded positively to Governor Gambito’s call to set aside political differences for the continuous progress of Nueva Vizcaya.

During the courtesy visit at the governor’s office, the two sides discussed key programs and projects of the provincial government as well as the priority needs and proposed projects of Bayombong. Both parties agreed on the importance of stronger collaboration between the municipal and provincial governments to better serve their constituents.

Governor Gambito welcomed the move, emphasizing that cooperation among local leaders is essential for sustainable development and improved public services in the province. Mayor Bagasao, for his part, affirmed Bayombong’s willingness to work closely with the provincial government and expressed optimism that united leadership will bring more opportunities and growth to the municipality and the entire province.

Meanwhile, just yesterday, municipal officials from Solano led by Mayor Philip A. Dacayo also paid a courtesy call to Governor Gambito, further highlighting the increasing cooperation and unity among local leaders in the province. The meetings concluded with a shared commitment to promote teamwork, transparency, and mutual support, ensuring that political differences will not hinder the pursuit of meaningful development for all Novo Vizcayanos. /RMI
