The formal assumption of office of Governor Atty. Jose V. Gambito, Vice Governor Eufemia Ang Dacayo, and Representative Timothy Joseph Cayton, along with the elected members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan from the 1st and 2nd districts of Nueva Vizcaya will officially begin following the oathtaking ceremony held at the Carlos M. Padilla Convention Center on June 30, 2025. Along with the families and supporters of Gov. Gambito, Vice Gov. Dacayo and Congressman Cayton also took center stage and gave their inaugural address after each of their oath.
Dupax del Norte Mayor Timothy Joseph Cayton, now Congressman was formally sworn in as the newly elected Representative of the lone district of Nueva Vizcaya, a transition from local to national leadership, bringing with him years of grassroots experience, giving emphasis on bridging local aspirations with national priorities.
In his message, Congressman Cayton reflected on his journey and vision for the province. “A brand-new Nueva Vizcaya was my vision when I was still mayor of Dupax del Norte. Now that I am officially a legislator, I dream bigger—not just for Dupax del Norte, but for the entire province of Nueva Vizcaya,” he said.
He also mentioned that he heed the call of Governor Gambito for unity for progress. “We possess the same shared vision of prosperity, development, and growth and I support not only the governor but the entire province. I encourage everyone to work as one, that is the key to progress and true development,” Cayton stressed.
Meanwhile, Vice Governor Dacayo, in her inaugural address, expressed gratitude while emphasizing people-centered leadership. “We must always be grateful. We earned this victory through the trust and mandate of the people. Let us live with integrity, lead with wisdom, and serve with compassion.
“Let us remember that governance is not only about policies but about people. Every decision we make must uplift communities and build a stronger foundation for future generations. Let’s make governance great for the people. Let us work hand in hand,” VG Dacayo said.
In-coming Board Members of the 12th Sangguiang Panlalawigan include Board Members Luisa Corazon L. Cuaresma , Leah D. Tidang, Leonard Clemens L. Cadoy, Emerlene Jane Galanta-Martinez and Pablo P. Kindot for the 1st district . Second Provincial District are Board Members Eunice Galima-Gambol, Atty. John Severino G. Bagasao , Atty. Primo Percival J. Marcos, Wilson D. Salas, and Flodemonte S. Gerdan . Oathtaking was administered Executive Judge Paul Atolba, Presiding Judge Branch 30 who also gave his message : “ Mamuno ng may dangal at malasakit sa bayan.”# gloria
