The provincial government of Nueva Vizcaya, led by Governor Atty. Jose V. Gambito, is set to host the Nueva Vizcaya Agritourism Congress on June 24, 2025, at the Department of Agriculture-Nueva Vizcaya Experimental Station (DA-NVES) in Bagabag.

The event is organized through the Provincial Tourism and Culture Office and the Provincial Agriculture Office, in partnership with the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), DA-NVES, and the Nueva Vizcaya Farm Tourism Stakeholders Association.

The congress aims to highlight the province’s strategy for economic recovery by focusing on farm tourism. It underscores the collaboration between the Department of Tourism and the Department of Agriculture in response to the growing interest in agritourism in the region.

Farm owners, stakeholders, and tourism officers are expected to participate in the congress, which will feature engagements with agricultural experts and discussions on best practices in agritourism. The event will also include a familiarization tour for participants.

Governor Gambito emphasized the significance of the event, saying, “Through agritourism, we are not only promoting sustainable agriculture and tourism, but we are also creating new opportunities for our local farmers and communities. This congress is a vital step in our efforts to drive economic recovery and showcase the rich agricultural heritage of Nueva Vizcaya.” /RMI
