Congressman-elect and Dupax del Norte Mayor, Atty. Timothy Joseph Cayton and Vice Governor-elect Eufemia Ang Dacayo, who both ran under the Aksyon Demokratiko party, have expressed their support for Governor Atty. Jose V. Gambito of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas in his call to set aside political differences and unite for the benefit of Novo Vizcayanos.

In separate interviews with local media after their proclamation as newly elected officials on May 13, both Cayton and Dacayo agreed on the importance of unity among provincial leaders. Vice Governor-elect Dacayo stated that she is ready to support Governor Gambito’s programs, including any legislative actions he may request from the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

Meanwhile, Congressman-elect Cayton announced plans to schedule a meeting with Governor Gambito, Vice Governor Dacayo, and the Provincial Board Members to discuss their proposed programs and to strengthen the unity among the province’s leaders in serving the people of Nueva Vizcaya.

“I envision to lead a unified Nueva Vizcaya,” Cayton said. He added that he aims to replicate the progress he achieved in Dupax del Norte throughout the entire province. “I dream big for Dupax del Norte, now I dream bigger for Nueva Vizcaya. Expect a brand new leadership. We are now in the 21st century, so we offer a modern type of leadership—a 21st-century caliber of leadership and governance,” he added.

Despite coming from different political parties, the officials emphasized that unity and collaboration are essential for the province’s continued progress. Their joint commitment is seen as a promising step towards inclusive and effective governance in Nueva Vizcaya.#RMI
