The Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya (PGNV) under the leadership of Governor Atty. Jose V. Gambito officially inaugurated four major projects on May 5, 2025, marking a new breakthrough in local development. The projects include the People’s Museum, a Skate Park, the Carlos M. Padilla Convention Center (CMPCC), and 8 rolling stalls.
A blessing ceremony was held to formally open the facilities to the public. Governor Gambito led the event, joined by former Governor Ruth R. Padilla, members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, department heads, and division chiefs of the PGNV. The Provincial Museum is designed to preserve and promote Nueva Vizcaya’s rich cultural heritage, including showcasing local craftsmanship through “Likha’t Habi” of local designers. The Skate Park, located at the back of the People’s Museum, offers a new recreational space for the youth, promoting active lifestyles and engagement in alternative sports.
The Carlos M. Padilla Convention Center, named after the late provincial leader and also called the “Legend of the North,” is envisioned to become a central venue for large gatherings, conferences, and official events. Meanwhile, the 8 rolling stalls are set to support micro- entrepreneurs and enhance local trade.
Former Governor Ruth R. Padilla shared that the CMPCC is part of the Padilla legacy and a meaningful gift to all Novo Vizcayanos. “It was a project that I personally asked Governor Gambito to continue, and I am grateful that he agreed to finish it. This was not solely my idea, but God’s grace and guidance, it became a reality,” Padilla said.
Governor Gambito stressed that the newly completed projects reflect the province’s continued commitment to cultural preservation, community development, and inclusive progress. #jmcb
