Beyond the establishment of a Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) service center within the provincial capitol compound, the provincial government of Nueva Vizcaya, led by Governor Atty. Jose V. Gambito, is taking further steps to support new graduates. Governor Gambito has announced the allocation of funds from the grants and donations fund of the Office of the Governor to cover the prescribed fees for obtaining a PRC license. This initiative specifically benefits first-time applicants who are often fresh graduates and recent board passers yet to secure employment.
Governor Gambito stated that the provincial government will initially support a first batch of 1,000 recipients through this program. “We understand the financial challenges faced by new graduates eager to start their professional careers. By shouldering the PRC license fees, we hope to ease their transition into the workforce. This is also a form of assistance to parents who have supported their children through their education,” he explained.
The Public Employment Service Division, headed by PESD Manager Dolly Rose C. Minas, will supervise the implementation of this initiative, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for applicants. PRC Regional Director John G. Alilam highlighted the cost breakdown for obtaining a PRC license, which totals Php 1,050. This includes Php 600 for registration and Php 450 for the annual fee, which covers a three-year validity. This support is expected to provide significant relief to new professionals embarking on their careers.
Governor Gambito emphasized, “This program reflects the provincial government’s dedication to investing in the future of its youth and ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder their professional growth. It’s a step towards empowering our young professionals and ensuring they are ready to lead the province into the future.” /RMI
