PLGU Nueva Vizcaya Achieves 100% Passing Rate in 2024 Good Financial Housekeeping

The provincial government of Nueva Vizcaya has once again secured a 100% passing rate in the Calendar Year 2024 Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) assessment. This accomplishment underscores the commitment of the provincial government, led by Governor Atty. Jose V. Gambito, to uphold transparency, accountability, and exemplary governance.

Governor Gambito’s dedication to maintaining the highest financial management standards has been crucial in ensuring that public resources are utilized effectively for the benefit of the communities in Nueva Vizcaya. Embracing the principle of “Kuarta ti umili para ti umili” (money of the people, for the people), his administration reflects an unwavering focus on fiscal responsibility and integrity in public service.

To successfully pass the GFH, local government units (LGUs) must meet stringent criteria, including obtaining a qualified or unqualified opinion in the most recent report from the Commission on Audit (COA). Additionally, full compliance with the Full Disclosure Policy (FDP) is mandatory. This involves the timely posting of required financial documents in conspicuous places and on the FDP portal, ensuring that financial information is accessible to the public.

The consistent success of Nueva Vizcaya in the GFH assessment highlights the province’s proactive approach to financial governance and its commitment to fostering trust and confidence among its constituents. As the provincial government continues to set a benchmark for good governance, residents can look forward to sustained development and improved public services.

Governor Gambito expressed pride in this achievement, stating, “This recognition is a clear indication of our relentless efforts to promote transparency and accountability in all our financial dealings. We remain committed to serving the people of Nueva Vizcaya with integrity and dedication.” /RMI
