
Wesmin Pacalso from Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines, has been crowned Miss Independent International 2025, securing the country’s first title in this newly established pageant. The inaugural event took place on February 21 at the Golden Phoenix Hotel in Manila, featuring 17 candidates from various countries.
Born in Western Mindanao and raised in the municipality of Bambang, Pacalso proudly represents the Kalanguya community. Her cultural heritage was a significant highlight of her journey, as she also won several awards, including Best in National Costume, Miss Independent Ambassador, Best Catwalk, Best Body, and Best in Evening Gown, showcasing her exceptional performance throughout the competition.
Governor Atty. Jose V. Gambito of Nueva Vizcaya extended his congratulations, stating, “Wesmin’s triumph is a shining moment for our province and our nation. Her grace, intelligence, and unwavering spirit have not only brought pride to Nueva Vizcaya and the Kalanguya community but have also inspired countless individuals across the country.
