The Provincial Council for the Protection of Children – Technical Working Group (PCWC-TWG) conducted an on-site evaluation for the Search for the Most Child-Friendly Barangay for Barangay Bintawan Sur, Villaverde, and PD Galima, Solano on July 23, 2024.

This initiative aims to recognize barangays that consistently show commitment towards ensuring the holistic well-being, development, and protection of children in their barangays. It also aims to encourage and inspire the implementation of best practices throughout the province, creating a supportive and nurturing environment for all children to thrive.

Furthering this commitment, Governor Atty. Jose V. Gambito has significantly increased the program’s incentive, with deserving barangay from the province’s north and south districts receiving a prize of five hundred thousand pesos (Php 500,000) each.The evaluation process will continue for all participating barangays across the province until August 8, 2024.

The awarding ceremony will be held during the culminating activity of the Children’s Month celebration in November.
