NV Seed Growers Coop requests repossession of unutilized farm implements and equipment

The Seed Growers of Nueva Vizcaya Agriculture Cooperative (SGNVAC) met with Gov. Jose V. Gambito and discussed about the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for their request on the retrieval of the unutilized farm implements and equipment from the Dadap Service Providers Association (DSPA) of Dadap, Solano.

The said meeting on the discussion of MOA was necessary since the coverage areas of the recipients were from Villaverde, Solano, Bayombong and Dupax Del Norte. SGNVAC said they were informed that DSPA could not manage the equipment as they do not know how to operate those farm implements, such as field tractors, reapers, planters, and threshers which they acquired sometime in 2014 or 2015.

Most of these farm implements are not functioning anymore unless repaired, resulting SGNVAC to appeal for the repossession of the unused farm equipment.

Gov. Gambito informed them that the unutilized farm implements and equipment will be recovered and distributed to the above-mentioned municipalities. The retrieval and the newly recipients of the unused farm equipment will be for the benefit of the Novo Vizcayano farmers. Under Gov. Gambito’s administration together with the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 02, Novo Vizcayano farmers surely have a seat at the table. /jmcb
