DICT and PGNV strengthen partnership

The Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Team of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) headed by OIC-Provincial Officer Johanna F. Tulauan paid a visit to the office of Governor Carlos M. Padilla on August 5, 2022 to discuss their agency’s engagement with the Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya (PGNV), through the Provincial Information Technology Division (PITD), concerning the (Tech4ED) Program that is being implemented nationwide.

This Program is a national digital inclusion initiative that seeks to establish Community e-centers, branded as Tech4ED Centers, that will provide critical e-government and ICT-enabled services in communities. It also aims to give equal opportunities for the underserved and marginalized communities that will somehow bridge the digital divide that constituents are facing, especially during the ongoing pandemic that has no end in sight as yet. Specifically, it gives our people easy access to online information, such as government services, non-formal education, skills training, job markets, and business portals. The DICT will be donating to the PGNV ICT equipment consisting of 4 desktop computers, 1 printer, 4 headsets, 1 access point and 1 CCTV.

The visiting DICT personnel also discussed their agency’s support to the COVID-19 vaccination program under former Provincial Integrated Health Officer, Dr. Edwin B. Galapon and donation of 5 tablets intended to hasten uploading of real time data and reports.

These programs and projects are part of the joint collaborative efforts of the PGNV and DICT towards digitization.
