In line with the celebration of National Children’s Month, the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), headed by PSWD Officer Flordelina C. Granada, led the regular flag-raising ceremony on November 3, 2025, at the Provincial Capitol Grounds.
Granada presented this year’s theme: “OSAEC-CSAEM Wakasan: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bata, Ipaglaban,” and explained that OSAEC stands for Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children, while CSAEM refers to Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials. She emphasized the importance of collective action in protecting the rights and welfare of children, advocating for their survival, development, protection, and participation.
As part of the ceremony, Granada unveiled the month-long lineup of activities dedicated in promoting child welfare and protection.
One of the event’s highlights was the introduction of the 18 newly elected Young Provincial Officials for 2025–2026, who were chosen during the Provincial Children’s Congress held on October 22, 2025. The young officials later joined their adult counterparts at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan as part of the province’s youth participation program.
The PSWDO also recognized the winners of the Search for “Ulirang Pamilya ng PLGU 2025”, honoring exemplary provincial employees and their families. The awardees were: Champion: Lito A.
