The Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya, through its Programs on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE), has released the official list of awardees for Calendar Year 2025 following the final evaluation of nominees under both the office and individual categories. The results are contained in PRAISE Resolution No. 2025-009.

In the office category, the Provincial Budget Office (PBO), headed by Ms. Virginia N. Iglesias, emerged as top performer, garnering three major recognitions, Cleanest and Most Organized Workplace Award, Most Functional Office Award and Most Innovative Office Award. This triple distinction highlights PBO’s efficiency, functionality, and innovation in the delivery of public service. By these recognition, the PBO has set a standard for excellence within the provincial government.

Further, in the individual category, Ms. Luisa S. Lacuanan, Administrative Assistant IV of PBO was named Best Employee , while Mr. Renz Brainerd R. Cachola HRMO II and Mr. Christian Dave B. Pascua, Administrative Aide IV both from PHRMO bagged Gantimpala Agad Award, a special recognition given to employees who demonstrate spontaneous and extraordinary acts of service beyond their regular duties, significantly benefiting the public and their co-workers.

PRAISE is a system established under the Civil Service Commission’s mandate which aims to encourage creativity, efficiency, and productivity by granting awards and incentives to individuals or groups for superior accomplishments and extraordinary acts of public service.

Its Committee ensures that deserving provincial government employees and offices are recognized and motivated to continually improve their performance and is being chaired by Governor Jose V. Gambito with Dr. Ma. Carla Lucia M. Torralba, PHRMO, serving as Co-Chairperson.

The institutionalization of PRAISE in Nueva Vizcaya is anchored on Executive Order No. 55-2024, which amends and revises Executive Order No. 148, s. 2022. This EO reconstitutes the PRAISE Committee, strengthening the province’s mechanisms for recognizing outstanding performance, innovation, discipline, and commitment to quality service among public servants.

Through this year’s awardees, public servants are expected to be more responsive and people-centered government workers, working hand in hand with Governor Gambito’s vision of wise economic and administrative leadership. /gloria
