The Flag Raising Ceremony conducted on February 16, 2026 was duly sponsored by the Public Attorneys Office (PAO) South District. The representative officers of the Bambang, Kasibu, and Aritao branches enumerated their accomplishments for 2025 and January 2026 in their speeches.
The PAO’s services include the dispensation of legal advice and oversight of legal procedures, as well as extraneous outreach efforts. The Aritao district, as of February 10, had served 1311 clients, subdividing these into administration of oath, of which there were 1135 conducted; legal counseling, of which 151 was provided; seven cases of limited representation, five mediations conducted, eight quasi-judicial cases, and five documentations.
The Kasibu District office detailed a total of 6896 clients served, 3479 of which were from their outreach activities to far-flung areas, of which they conducted 25 in the last year. PAO’s Kasibu district counted 2011 notarized documents and as of the present, 30 pending cases with the provincial prosecutor and the municipal trial court.
The Bambang District office encompasses Regional Trial Court (RTC) branches 30 and 37, as well as the municipal trial courts of Bambang, Dupax del Norte, Dupax del Sur, and Alfonso Castaneda. By their count, a total of 10659 clients had been served in 2025 alone, including not only legal counseling and administrations of oath, but legal outreach, jail visitation, inquest assistance, mediations, and limited representation. During the last regional conference, the Bambang District office was recognized for having the highest number of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) in the small district category in 2025, as well as the second-highest number of clients served.
Through tireless effort and despite limited manpower, the Public Attorneys Office South District continues its service toward the constituency and contributes to the observance of law and maintenance of peace in the province. /igmb
