The Provincial Nutrition Council (PNC) culminated the National Nutrition month celebration on August 20 at the NV Convention Center with the awarding of plaques, certificates and cash incentives to Outstanding Municipal Nutrition Committees, Municipal Nutrition Action Officers (MNAO), District Nutrition Program Coordinators, and Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS).
Jila Rose Bacton the BNS of Bagumbayan, Dupax del Sur topped the outstanding BNS and will be the representative of the province in the regional search. The LGU of Santa Fe was also given commendation as the municipality will be receiving its first year CROWN maintenance award.
“The provincial government always give importance to all the nutrition programs in the province. This year, in partnership with SN Aboitiz, P600,000 will be used to fund the nutrition programs. The fruits of all the time, hard work, and sacrifices are all rewarded to the people of the province,” Padilla said.
Governor Carlos M. Padilla administered the oath-taking of Provincial Federation of Nutrition Officers (NO), Nutrition Action Officers (NAO) and BNS. The provincial president for the NO’s is Luzviminda Ragpa of the Provincial Nutrition Office; Beatriz Castillo, MNAO of Kasibu for the NAOs; and Josephine Degamo, the BNS of Salvacion, Bayombong for the BNS federation. #bg
