PGNV, NVPPO Ink MOU for ‘Dara ti Umili’

The Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya (PGNV), led by Governor Atty. Jose V. Gambito, formally sealed its partnership with the Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Police Office (NVPPO) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on April 23 at Camp Major Saturnino L. Dumlao, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.

The agreement was signed by Governor Gambito and PCol Paul T. Bometivo, Provincial Director of NVPPO. The event also coincided with a bloodletting activity as part of the province’s flagship health program.

In his message, PCol. Bometivo emphasized the significance of the collaboration. “Today we convene for a significant undertaking. This gathering reflects a deeper purpose beyond this ceremony; it highlights the strength of collaboration as institutions come together not just to formalize commitment but to translate this commitment into meaningful action for the welfare of our people,” PCol. Bomotivo stated. “Through this partnership, we will enforce our shared responsibility in protecting not only peace and order but also help improve the lives of every Vizcayano,” he added.

The police chief also lauded the simultaneous bloodletting activity, saying, “This is a simple yet profound act of compassion. In every unit of blood donated lies an opportunity to save lives.”

Governor Gambito shared the inspiration behind the “Libre A Dara Para Ti Umili” project, recalling how securing blood used to be a serious problem in the province when he first assumed office. “When I first seated as the Governor, this became one of my priorities to help those who are in need of blood. It’s very hard for me that someone is seeking for my help but there is nothing I can do. That’s why, to solve this problem, we need to stabilize the number of blood, sufficient enough to accommodate the needs of everyone who needs it,” Governor Gambito said.

The Governor expressed his gratitude to various organizations and agencies, including the NVPPO, for responding to his call of support. He also announced a significant development in the province’s blood program.

This ‘Libre a Dara Para Ti Umili’ is of great help. We also now have a memorandum of agreement with the Baguio General Hospital (BGH). We are now also supplying blood to them, wherein our constituents hospitalized there can avail those blood for free,” he disclosed.

The activity was attended and witnessed by Provincial Administrator King Webster B. Balaw-ing, Blood Program Director Jehova L. Olpindo, PLtCol. Geovanni V. Cejes, Deputy Provincial Director for Administration, and PLtCol. Edgar V. Manuel, Provincial Community Affairs and Development Unit Chief. #mccd
