With Governor Atty. Jose V. Gambito at the helm, the Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya (PGNV), through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) led by PSWD Officer Flordelina C. Granada, paid tribute to long-married couples during the 5th Batch Enduring Devotion Awarding held at the Carlos M. Padilla Convention Center (CMPCC) Lobby, Capitol Compound, Bayombong on December 16, 2025.
The ceremony honored 31 senior couples from various municipalities across the province whose marriages have endured for more than five decades, reflecting lasting love, unity, and commitment. Awardees came from Aritao (4), Bagabag (3), Bambang (5), Bayombong (2), Dupax del Norte (4), Dupax del Sur (3), Kasibu (2), Quezon (2), Sta. Fe (1), and Solano (5).
The highlight of the event was the ceremonial awarding, during which each couple received a ₱50,000 incentive in recognition of their enduring devotion and lifelong partnership. Now on its fifth batch, the Enduring Devotion Program continues to be a meaningful provincial initiative that honors senior citizens and celebrates marriages that have stood the test of time, inspiring younger generations to value commitment and family.
Basilio A. Pindog and his wife, Conchita R. Pindog, from Brgy. Imugan, Sta. Fe, recorded the longest marriage among the 5th batch of awardees, having shared 68 years of married life.
Provincial leaders, in their messages, emphasized that honoring long-married couples goes beyond celebrating enduring love, as it also recognizes their invaluable contributions to society. They noted that these couples have helped build strong families, preserved cultural and moral values, and served as living examples of commitment, patience, and mutual respect. The leaders further stressed that the ‘Enduring Devotion’ program reflects the province’s gratitude to senior citizens whose lives and relationships continue to inspire younger generations and reaffirm the family as the foundation of the community.
Among the dignitaries present were Vice Governor Eufemia A. Dacayo; Hon. Emerlene Jane “EJ” Galanta-Martinez, Chairperson of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee on Women, Children, and Family Relations; Hon. Eunice Galima-Gambol, Chairperson of the Committee on Elderly and Persons with Special Abilities and Social Welfare; Hon. Leonard Clemens L. Cadoy; and Hon.
