PGNV Admin Officers hold Year-End Assessment, stand in solidarity with Typhoon victims

To show solidarity with those affected by Typhoon Uwan, administrative officers from the Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya (PGNV) held a simple yet productive monthly meeting and year-end assessment at Dap-ayan Private Resort, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.

Led by Provincial Human Resource Management Officer Dr. Ma. Carla Lucia M. Torralba, the gathering prioritized assessment and planning over lavish celebration, adhering to the advisory from Governor Atty. Jose V. Gambito to forego luxurious parties. The meeting, held on December 4, 2025, brought together administrative officers from various PGNV offices to review the year’s accomplishments, address challenges, and strategize for 2026.

In line with Governor Gambito’s directive, the event was intentionally kept modest, reflecting their commitment to supporting the victims of Typhoon Uwan. Dr. Torralba emphasized the importance of focusing on the core mission of public service during this time.

“While it is important to acknowledge our accomplishments, it’s equally important to remain mindful of the challenges faced by our fellow Novo Vizcayanos,” she stated. “This meeting allowed us to assess our performance and plan for the future, while also demonstrating our commitment to supporting those in need.”

Considering the typhoon relief efforts, a significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to identifying ways to optimize resource allocation and streamline processes to support the provincial government’s response. The decision to hold a simple celebration was widely praised by the administrative officers, who expressed their support for Governor Gambito’s initiative. Some pledged to contribute to the typhoon relief efforts.

Gloria R. Ritual, President of the Administrative Officers Association of the PGNV said, “We fully support the Governor’s call for a more subdued celebration. Our focus should be on helping those who have lost so much.”

The year-end assessment served as a reminder of the importance of public service and the need to stand together in times of adversity. #mvs
