The Provincial Environmental Awareness and Education Team (PEAET) convened to discuss and finalize the mechanics and guidelines for the upcoming Environmental Awareness celebration. Key events such as “Sayawit,” “Pasiklaban para sa Proyektong Makakalikasan,” and the Search for “Makakalikasang Barangay” were central to the meeting, which was held at the Nueva Vizcaya Livelihood and Pasalubong Center, Magsaysay, Bayombong on August 7, 2025.
Presided over by Acting ENRO Arlene S. Tarranco of the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENARO), the meeting aimed to confirm a well-coordinated and impactful culmination activity, scheduled for November 21, 2025. This year’s theme, “Kalikasan ay Buhay, Ating Mahalín; Hamon ng Klima, Sama-samang Harapin,” underscores the importance of environmental protection and collective climate action.
During the meeting, the team proposed tentative schedules for each competition and identified potential judges who possess relevant expertise and experience. The criteria for judging and participation were also reviewed to ensure transparency and inclusivity in all activities.
In preparation for the Environmental Forum, the team discussed possible topics aligned with the theme and current environmental issues. They also listed prospective resource speakers from various sectors who could provide valuable insights and inspire community action toward sustainability.
The inclusion of expert resource speakers in the Environmental Forum reflects Governor Atty. Jose V. Gambito’s commitment in fostering a well-informed public capable of making informed decisions about environmental issues, both locally and globally. His administration’s focus on partnerships with relevant sectors such as local government units, environmental organizations, and academe affirms that his vision for a sustainable and eco-friendly province is both well-supported and achievable. #jmcb
