PDAO receives wheelchairs from DSWD-R02
The Persons with Disability Affairs Division (PDAO) of the Governor’s Office received on February 17, 2022 ten units of Pedia-Wheelchair from the Region 02 Office of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD-R02) in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, headed by Regional Director Cezario Joel C. Espejo.
PDAO Chief Venus Ruam Cadabona said that this initiative pursued by her office will benefit PWD children in the province who are in dire need of the said assistive devices.
She explained that the PDAO has the mandate of ensuring full and proper implementation and monitoring of the programs and services of the Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya (PGNV) for the province’s vulnerable sector.
In pursuance thereof and to be able to serve more of its clientele, given its limited resources, the PDAO has to be creative and resourceful. “Establishing partnerships with concerned service and logistics providers is one among our implementing strategies to realize those ends”, she added.
