The Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Hospital (NVPH) Laboratory Section recognized and celebrated the province’s remarkable female blood donors on March 12, 2026, in celebration of National Women’s Month.
The laboratory, headed by Medical Technologist III Jehovah Olpindo, highlighted the critical role women play in sustaining the local blood supply through voluntary donations. “These women have shown extraordinary courage and generosity in giving the gift of life to their fellow Novo Vizcayanos,” Olpindo said. “Their unwavering commitment goes beyond just donating blood – they also embody the true spirit of womanhood through strength, compassion, and resilience that inspires us all in the laboratory team and the wider community.” Through their voluntary contributions, donors have helped keep the provincial government’s “Libre Nga Dara Para Ti Umili” Program running smoothly, providing free blood to patients in need across the province.
Governor Jose V. Gambito emphasized the program’s reliance on community support, particularly from women donors. “Our ‘Libre Nga Dara Para Ti Umili’ initiative would not be possible without the selfless service of people like these amazing women,” Governor Gambito stated.
The governor extended his heartfelt gratitude to all female donors for their invaluable contributions. “They are not only pillars of their families and communities – they are champions of hope and healing who ensure that no Novo Vizcayano is left without access to life-saving blood when they need it most.” /mccd
