NVPEA’s New Leaders Hold First Meeting, Set Priorities

The newly elected Executive Officers (EO) and Board of Directors (BOD) of the Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Employees Association (NVPEA) conducted its inaugural meeting on October 8, 2025, at the PIHO Function Room, Capitol.

Under the leadership of President Jolinda P. Cambas, the primary focus of the meeting was the election of BOD officers. Mr. Reynier F. Dumale, representing Diadi Emergency Hospital, was elected as Chairperson. Joining him are Mr. Bergrio G. Lorenzo from the Governor’s Office as Vice Chairperson, and Ms. Bernaliza T. Baroma of PENARO as Secretary.

The board also designated members to key committees, including Membership Education and Information, Grievance, Membership Welfare and Benefits, and Finance.

The Election and Constitutional Reform Committee will be formed during the upcoming General Assembly. A significant resolution is underway to authorize Ms. Cambas and Ms. Monica A. Bejarin, as President and Treasurer respectively, to represent NVPEA in transactions with the Philippine National Bank and to serve as official signatories for association-related checks.

Furthermore, the association plans to formally request Governor Jose V. Gambito, via resolution, to release the Agency Fee for FY 2022. These funds will be held in trust pending the outcome of the provincial government’s appeal.

To ensure effective governance, the new officers are set to undergo an orientation program to bolster effective governance in the days ahead. /mccd
