SN Aboitiz funds nutrition project
With its continued support to the programs and projects of the province, Engineer Wilhelmino Ferrer, AVP/Plant Manager of SN Aboitiz Power-Magat, Inc. (SNAPM) turned-over to Governor Carlos M. Padilla on September 10 the amount of P600,000.00 through the Provincial Nutrition Council (PNC).
SNAPM had been funding programs and projects of the province under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The said amount will fund the “Nueva Vizcaya project on the Double Burden of Malnutrition” through activities such as Hoola-hoop, Iwas Obesity project; Zumba on Wheels; and the conduct of Pabasa sa Nutrisyon.
These projects will strengthen partnerships between the Department of Health, Department of Education, NGO partners and the PLGU through the Provincial Nutrition Office specifically on the improvement of the 310 public elementary school beneficiaries in the province.
Meanwhile, Quezon National High School (QNHS) also received 8 sewing machines (worth P100,000.00) from SNAPM. The sewing machines will be used by the Senior High School Department of QNHS for its dressmaking and tailoring classes.
The signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between SNAPM, PLGU, and QNHS was simultaneously done and was witnessed by PLGU consultant Julie Alonzo, Provincial Treasurer Rhoda Moreno, Provincial Nutrition Officer Luzviminda Ragpa, former Governor Ruth R. Padilla being the Chairman of Abot Palad Provincial Federation (NGO partner), and officials of QNHS. #bg
