4th Tourism Skills Olympics held

The Tourism Promotion and Development Division held the 4th Tourism Skills Olympics in celebration of the Tourism Month at the Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) Gymnasium Bambang Campus last September 17. The event, which had the theme “Tourism and Jobs: A Better Future for all” covered the following competitions: Nueva Vizcaya Cuisine, Nueva Vizcaya Flair Bartending competition, Fruit Carving contest, Table Skirting and Napkin folding, and Cake decorating contest. The 4th Tourism Skills Olympics aims to promote and strengthen camaraderie among participating schools and other stake holders. It also showcase the industry-related knowledge and skills of the student participants as well as develop these skills and talents while instilling the value of sportsmanship among students. Winners for the 4th Tourism Skills Olympics were as follows: NVSU Bambang won NV Flairtending and Fruit and Vegetable Carving, Aldersgate College won table skirting and napkin folding and cake decorating contest, while NVSU Bayombong won NV Cuisine.

Winners received cash prizes, medals and certificates while non-winners received consolation prizes and certificates. # cqc
