Four centenarians receive P100k incentive
The Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya headed by Governor Carlos M. Padilla awarded P100, 000 each to four centenarians during a flag-raising ceremony at the Peoples Stage last September 23, 2019.
The Centenarian Ordinance is an incentive to centenarians that started in 2014 which aims to promote healthy lifestyle among Vizcayanos.
The Province of Nueva Vizcaya is the first province to give such incentive way ahead of the national government.
Awardees include Mariano Bagasin, 101 years old from Dupax del Norte, Alejandra Bugarin, 101 years old from Bagabag Balwog Puguon, 105 years old from Kasibu, Bagyon Ligmayo, 101 years old from Ambaguio.
According to Marlon A. Guzman, Social Worker I of the Provincial Social Worker and Development Office (PSWDO), there were 19 centenarians awarded from January to September 2019 with a total amount of P1.9 million. #cqc
