NBI Bayombong Intercedes in Illegal Operations

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Bayombong District Office reported on their accomplishments for 2025 and the first half of 2026 during the Flag Raising Ceremony on June 8, 2026, at the People’s Stage, Capitol Compound, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.

NBI reported on several counts of the violation of Presidential Decree 1602, a declaration against illegal gambling. Such operations were discovered and dismantled in the municipalities of Aritao and Diadi through the efforts of the NBI.

Other crimes investigated and acted upon include cybercrime-related operations, counterfeiting and falsification, rape, estafa, illegal recruitment, trafficking, etc., in the municipalities of Bambang, Diadi, Dupax del Norte, and Bagabag. For the latter crimes, at least one arrest was conducted alongside the rescue of exploited individuals.

At least 17 criminal cases were filed by the office, with one case being sustained and upheld. The NBI also enacted investigations on flood control projects in the province; their initial findings reported the upholding of these projects, but also their completion to substandard and non-accordance with specifications.

As a purveyor of public services, the NBI counted a total of 20496 NBI clearances issued to individuals for FY 2025, and 9556 from January to May 2026. For improved access and efficiency, the NBI also conducted NBI Mobile Clearance Services, as well as partnering with academic institutions for on-the-job training of future professionals.
