PDAO, NCDA hold online orientation of stakeholders

The Provincial Disability Affairs Office PDAO under the Office of the Governor (PDAO-GO) headed Ms. Venus Ruam-Cadabona, Disability Affairs Officer III and concurrent Provincial Council on Disability Affairs (PCDA) Secretariat Head, in collaboration with the National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA), conducted an Orientation-Seminar on “Disability Inclusive Governance” on November 16, 2022 via the Zoom platform.

Participating in this activity were regular and on-call members of the Provincial Council on Disability Affairs (PCDA) and the PCDA’s Technical Working Group from the Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya (PGNV), National Government Agencies, and Civil Society Organizations. Also joining them were Focal Persons of the 15 Municipal Governments of the Province.

The capability-building activity was aimed at providing the province’s PWD Sector stakeholders with in-depth knowledge on meaningful participation of persons with disabilities (PWDs) in different aspects and sectors of society.

Mr. Randy DC. Calseña, Provincial Programs Coordinator of the NCDA, who served as the resource person for the said activity, mentioned the various programs and projects of their agency.

PPC Calseña emphasized that the NCDA is a national government agency mandated to formulate policies and coordinate the activities of all institutions, both public and private, concerning disability issues and concerns.

He also presented disability perspectives and relevant laws that provide assistance to PWDs and ensure the protection of their civil and political rights.

DAO Cadabona and her fellow PWD Sector leaders expressed their appreciation and gratitude to Governor Carlos M. Padilla for his unwavering support. #mba reporting
