Gov Padilla leads NCM2022 culminating activities

Supervising Tourism and Culture Officer Marichelle Orden-Costales, Acting Chief of the Provincial Tourism and Culture Office (PTCO) that sponsored the Flag Hoisting Ceremony of the Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya (PGNV) on November 7, 2022 at the People’s Stage-Quadrangle, Provincial Capitol, reported on the plans and recent accomplishments of their office under its threefold program-strategy to accomplish its mandate, namely, Product Development and Tourism Promotion, Promotion of Culture and the Arts, and Parks Development and Management.

This early morning activity, led by Governor Carlos M. Padilla and members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, significantly focused on the 30th anniversary of the National Children’s Month that is observed nationwide in November every year, as proclaimed under Republic Act No. 10661, dated May 29, 2015. The declaration serves to commemorate the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child by the United Nations General Assembly on November 20, 1989, and seeks to instill its significance in the Filipino consciousness.

It was highlighted by the presentation of (a) Ms. Alana Joy Pedro Pajarillo from the municipality of Diadi who was crowned 1st Runner-up and Best in National Costume during the Miss Ecotourism World 2022 pageant held in South Africa, (b) a provincial government retiree who received a parting P100k check and other benefits, and (c) the Young Provincial Officials 2022, headed by Young Governor Kersthine Prucielle A. Pudiquet from the municipality of Dupax Del Norte.

Spicing up the event were the folkloric song and dance numbers performed by PTCO personnel.
