A 2-day Mass Blood Donation (MBD) drive was undertaken by the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) at the Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Hospital (NVPH) last 27 and 31 July on the occasion of the celebration of its 107th founding anniversary.
The INC was able to donate a total of 184 blood bags to the NVPH during the 2-day activity.
NVPH Chief Dr. Arlene I. Jara, who is also a member of the INC, proposed the MBD drive to their INC district leaders here in Nueva Vizcaya as part of the commemoration of the founding of the INC, and to help their members, including non-members, who are in need of blood.
“We made it a 2-day activity so that members of the INC who wish to donate will not flock to the institution pursuant to health and safety protocols that we are enforcing. The 1st day was set for our NV South District members, and the 2nd day for those from the NV North District and Ifugao province.”, Jara explained.
District Minister of Nueva Vizcaya Ka Fermin Paquiao was also among those INC leaders who were present during the 2-day MBD drive.
The INC was established in Punta, Sta. Ana, Manila on 27 July 1914 by Mr. Felix Y. Manalo who also served as its first Executive Minister. He is fondly called Ka Felix by his followers. #mccd
