
BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya – The Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya (PGNV), through the GO-Population Division, conducted the Gender and Development (GAD) Executive Committee Meeting on February 18, 2026 at the Paniqui Hall, Capitol, followed by a Gender Sensitivity Training (GST).
The activity gathered department heads, chief of hospitals, division chiefs, and members of the GAD Executive Committee to deepen their understanding of the province’s Gender and Development (GAD) Agenda and its strategic implementation.
Governor Atty. Jose “Jing” V. Gambito emphasized the importance of prioritizing the GAD Agenda and working toward its approval as a formal mandate. He encouraged all provincial government offices to lead by example in promoting gender sensitivity and inclusive governance.
Mac Paul V. Alariao, Acting Provincial Welfare and Development Officer of Cagayan, delivered the overview of the training. He discussed the key components of the GAD Agenda, including the GAD Strategic Framework and the GAD Strategic Plan, and emphasized the need to align GAD initiatives with the Annual GAD Plan and Budget while ensuring accountability through effective monitoring and evaluation.
The presentation of the GAD Agenda marked a significant step toward institutionalizing a comprehensive gender mainstreaming framework in Nueva Vizcaya, reaffirming the province’s commitment to equality and inclusive development for all Novo Vizcayanos. /FAA
