Gov. Gambito Extends Support to Habal-Habal Drivers

Upholding his commitment to inclusive governance, Jose ‘Jing’ V. Gambito met with members of the Ambaguio–Bayombong Habal-Habal Drivers Association (AMBAHADA) at the Barangay Hall of Tiblac in Ambaguio to personally listen to their concerns and extend provincial support.

The dialogue was attended by Barangay Captain Hon. Terson B. Sabungan and local barangay officials, highlighting a unified effort between provincial and community leaders. During the activity, the Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya (PGNV) distributed subsidy assistance, particularly rice aid, to help ease the daily financial burden of the drivers and their families.

In his message, Governor Gambito stressed that development efforts must reach even the most remote communities, underscoring the challenges faced by upland transport workers. He also assured them that the provincial government will continue to deliver programs that respond to their needs.

The governor also plans to strengthen road safety and improve infrastructure in the municipality, noting that safer, well-maintained roads will protect motorists and reduce drivers’ maintenance costs, supporting more sustainable livelihoods.

For their part, AMBAHADA members conveyed their appreciation for the timely assistance and open dialogue. The meeting strengthened cooperation between the transport sector and the provincial government, reaffirming a shared goal of safer roads, improved livelihoods, and inclusive progress across Nueva Vizcaya. /FAA
